Flexible re-booking options
The Lufthansa Group airlines significantly expanded their rebooking options at the start of the pandemic providing customers with the flexibility to change their travel plans free of charge: Passengers who wish to change their travel dates have the opportunity to rebook the same route and class of travel once. The trip can also be postponed even up to 31 December 2021. This regulation applies to tickets booked on the Lufthansa Group route network with a confirmed travel date up too and including 30 April 2021 and the rebooking must be made before the originally planned start of the journey.
Covid-19 tests now available at Frankfurt and Munich Airports
The health and safety of the Lufthansa Group passengers and employees remains a top priority across the network. For this reason, all procedures throughout the entire travel chain have been and will continue to be reviewed in order to guarantee the maximum safety. To this effect, Lufthansa is offering customers a certified PCR test for Covid-19 at its hubs in Germany to avoid mandatory quarantine measures currently in place. These test centres are operated by partner companies, including Centogene at Frankfurt Airport and Medicare at Munich Airport. It is recommended to register for a test online in advance to avoid long delays. Since 4 May, all passengers are required to wear a face mask onboard Lufthansa Group flights and encouraged to do so throughout the airport.
When planning a trip, customers are advised to check the individual country’s current entry requirements and quarantine regulations before booking.
