North East Scotland’s very own Nathalie Ahmadzadeh has been selected for the Glasgow Film Festival’s New Talent Mentorship Programme.
Nathalie, an emerging Swedish-Azari Iranian screenwriter, is being paired with Alice Birch, playwright and screenwriter, best known for Lady Macbeth and Normal People.
The Glasgow Film Festival’s aim is to support the growth of Scotland’s film community, and Nathalie is grateful for the opportunity to develop her screenwriting.
She said:
‘Being selected for the New Talent Mentorship Scheme is a fantastic opportunity to learn and get connected in the wider UK film industry. I’m looking forward to the chance to get both professional and individual advice from my mentor in relation to my development as a creator.’
Since graduating from Edinburgh Napier University’s MA Screenwriting course in 2019, Nathalie has taken part in several talent programmes and has several projects in development, both in Scotland and Sweden. She is passionate about stories focused around cultural identity and female sexuality, told through a comedic or horror lens. North East Scotland is proud to have such a talented and hardworking emerging screenwriter in Nathalie Ahmadzadeh.
