Murrayfield Wanderers FC has secured new sponsorship from Edinburgh-based reusable cup scheme 2GoCup ahead of the upcoming season, providing support for both the club’s men’s and women’s teams.
2GoCup will become the official sponsor of the men’s team and main sponsor of the women’s team, with the partnership also supporting the club’s wider ambitions around player development and grassroots rugby.
Club President Mark Anderson said the support would help Murrayfield Wanderers continue developing girls’ rugby and provide practical resources for the men’s team.
“As President of Murrayfield Wanderers Football Club, I am excited by our partnership with 2GoCups. In an age where too many things are transient and disposable, it's great to have a partner who shares our goals of inclusion, development and sustainability.
“Our partnership with 2GoCups will help us build girls' rugby in our area, developing tomorrow's senior players who will hopefully continue our proud tradition of providing players to the Scottish Women's international team. Equally, the provision of match balls to our men's team will help us to perform on the pitch by enabling us to use our handling and kicking skills optimally.
“At a time when financing and running grassroots rugby clubs has never been harder, it is excellent that 2GoCups recognises the value of sport for all and we are delighted to have them onboard.”

The sponsorship comes as Murrayfield Wanderers continues to invest in the future of rugby within its community, including the development of girls who could progress into the club’s senior teams.
2GoCup operates a reusable cup deposit-and-return scheme across Edinburgh. Customers pay a £2 deposit for a cup, which can then be reused, exchanged or returned to a participating location for the deposit to be refunded.
The scheme currently operates through Edinburgh businesses including Steampunk Coffee, Urban Angel and Sugar Daddy’s Bakery.
The new partnership will run during the upcoming season, supporting Murrayfield Wanderers both on and off the pitch as the club continues developing its men’s, women’s and girls’ rugby programmes.
