The national competition for brewing in Scotland has pledged to make every effort to stage the 5th annual awards as normally as possible in 2020.

Plans are underway for the judging panel to meet and assess all entered products in the week commencing Monday 24 August 2020 at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

Given the huge disruption to brewing this year, the format of the awards is currently being considered.

Beer Matters will return on Wednesday 14 October 2020 offering a conference, trade show and debate on the challenges facing the industry in Scotland.

The awards will be presented on the same day. Brewers are being asked for their views on what they want out the event and should email Kirsten Speirs with their preferences.

The plans to move The Scottish Beer Awards to Glasgow this year with a black-tie dinner at the Fruitmarket have been postponed until 2021.

For information and advice on entries, product deliveries and the event, please email Kirsten or Pippa. Registration and entries close on Monday 10th August 2020.
