MOMENTS by Theatre Re: A Moving Journey into Fatherhood, Art, and the Fragility of Life

Published:

Theatre Re, one of the UK’s leading visual theatre companies, manages to reach a huge range of audiences with their productions.

Having toured 17 countries over 3 continents, their work combines original live music with striking visual performance to create non-verbal productions about universal human challenges and the fragility of life. In using this unique style, the company can create performances that are accessible and translatable across the world.

Their newest venture, MOMENTS, embarks on a new style from the company. The show steps into exploring why we create art, exploring time, fatherhood and grief whilst demystifying the theatre making process. The first verbal performance from the team, it investigates how the art is created, and the process behind their work. Described by audiences as “emotional”, “magic” and “stunning”, MOMENTS is making waves in its current UK tour.

When asked to describe the show, artistic director Guillaume Pigé commented,

“MOMENTS is our latest production and it’s a bit different from all our others pieces.

We are performing a show – in our trademark style bringing together original live music and striking visual performance – with characters and a journey, and at the same time we take the audience through all the little intricacies that went into the construction of that journey.

One audience member likened it to when a magician talks the audience through how they perform a magic trick, and by doing so seem to make the magic more impressive, more real and more magical.”

MOMENTS is coming to Capital Theatre Studio, Edinburgh, on 28th and 29th January 2025.
